Tours

We frequently give tours of Aida Refugee Camp to groups from the Palestinian diaspora and visitors from around the world who want to know more about the situation of Palestinian refugees in the West Bank.

Tour groups walk along the Israeli Separation (Annexation) Wall and see the Key of Return, the UNRWA school and an original one-room house. There is also an opportunity to look out over the camp and the wall from the roof of an apartment building in order to see the wall’s route as it snakes around Bethlehem and encloses the Gilo settlement. Visitors will get a general sense of life in Aida camp and the day-to-day living conditions of Palestinian refugees. We also show a short (9 minute) film about the history of Palestinian refugees, Aida camp and the Aida Youth Center.

Tours can be given to groups of any size, Saturdays through Thursdays, between 9am and 7pm, though daylight hours are best. Tours are led by either residents of the camp or volunteers from the Center. They are generally in either English or Arabic, though there it is possible to make special arrangements. Contact us for more information.
